Explanation on Kaizen ended. This is really a Japanese treasure. Next let me show my idea to increase the level of Kaizen.

In the previous column I said something about Anglo-Saxons in connection with Kaizen. I don’t know about the future, but so far Anglo-Saxons --- UK and USA --- has been predominant in the world in many fields. I believe that this is because Anglo-Saxons has owned a good tool of management.

As a tool of management, ISO9001 Standard was firstly introduced. As I said before, Margaret Thatcher introduced this Standard. The standard was finalized and officially published in 1987. Later in around the beginning of 1990’s, the standard introduced here in Japan.
